Seminars

The CCGP helps to coordinate seminars on a wide variety of topics in German Philosophy, broadly construed. This includes a wider range of seminars on especially Kant, Hegel, Marx, Nietzsche, Frege, Heidegger, and Wittgenstein, as well as a somewhat narrower range of seminars on other seminal figures in the tradition of German Philosophy, such as Herder, Fichte, Carnap, Husserl, Gadamer, Adorno, and Habermas.

These seminars fall into three categories: seminars on topics in German Philosophy taught by members of the faculty of the University of Chicago, seminars taught by visiting professors at the University of Chicago, and co-sponsored seminars taught (usually in the summer) at a university or academic institution in Germany or Austria.
