About me

I received my M.A. in Philosophy from the University of Leipzig and my B.A. in Philosophy and German Studies from the University of Basel. My masters thesis with the title “Untersuchung zum Philosophischen Text” is an investigation of the concept of a philosophical text, I argue that a philosophical text can not be said to have any reality, as a philosophical text, apart of its being thought, i.e. its being read thinkingly. One of the main claims leading to this conclusion is that philosophy can not be a form of theory.

I am currently working on my doctoral thesis with the working title “Formen der Negation“. It is an investigation of the reasons for the historical fact that negation has not been successfully defined despite thousands of years of effort.

As elected representative of the doctoral students of the department of philosophy at the University of Leipzig I lead a task force which has the goal of self-organizing all matters relevant for a successful graduation.
